Dear Friends and Family,

We just want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We wish there was more time to see each of you more often, but do know you are in our thoughts often. We hope all is well with you and your families.  We definitely want to stay in touch! We want to know how you and your family are doing!

So, how about a little update on our family:

  • We live in El Dorado, Arkansas and are loving being close to family and friends in the area. We really enjoy the time we spend with each of you!
  • Rudy – 38 years with Nexans AmerCable as the Project Capture Director and he doesn’t plan to retire anytime soon. Rudy is currently serving as Chair of the Board at the South Arkansas Arts Center. Rudy still is enjoying golf.  We enjoyed our season tickets to the Razorback football games and loved cheering on the Hogs!
  • Cherie – This past year I enjoyed showing my art at a year long exhibit at the Bierdenharm in Monroe, LA, a duo show with my sister at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum, and was accepted to the Annual Juried Art Show at the South Arkansas Arts Center. Rudy and I enjoyed some fun trips such as: trips with friends to their ranch out south of San Antonio; trips with the South Arkansas Arts Center to Boston to see all the area art museums and Dallas to see the art at Cowboys Stadium, as well as the Dallas MFA; weekend trips to local places like: Jefferson, TX, Little Rock, AR, and Vicksburg, MS;  as well as some work trips for Rudy to Orlando and Houston.  Plus, we always love seeing our family in Dallas, Ruston, LA, Bossier City, LA, and the Fayetteville, AR area.  We are looking forward to seeing more friends and family in 2024, and having more fun!
  • Dean is still working as a flight attendant for American Airlines traveling both domestic and internationally. He has enjoyed some fun side trips like to Tokyo with his friends. He is still based in Dallas, TX and is enjoying living back in Texas. Dean is still taking flying lessons and enjoying them in his little spare time. We are excited for him.
  • Daisy is in her second year at Louisiana State University towards her degree in Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art. In addition, she works as a graduate assistant helping teach various classes, such as Illustration and 2-D art, as well as working in the print lab and gallery setting up shows. She enjoys living in Ruston and all her friends that she has made. Daisy is creating a new comic which you can follow on Instagram @daiscomics. It’s really cute! We are loving seeing Daisy live out her dream.
  • We still have Snow Berry-Veda Bright and Agnes Sundae Bright, our cats.  They both love Rudy the most! Of course, Rudy notes that if I would pet them more, they would like me more. We really enjoy their comical demeanors. You can follow them on their Instagram page @SnowAndAgnes
  • Rudy’s dad is 91 years old and still living at home in Smackover and doing fine.  It’s good that we live close, so Rudy can visit with his dad often. Their favorite thing to do together is watch Bonanza and old westerns. Dana and her kids and grandkids are all doing good living, working, and going to school up in North West Arkansas.
  • My mom is doing good and staying busy as ever: baking, traveling, going to bible study, fluffing on her house and her favorite past time working in the yard. We have enjoyed going up to see her this fall for the Razorback games. My sisters and their families are doing well, too. They are staying busy with their families and happy, which is all I could ever want for them.

And of course, we look forward to the opportunity to have all the little get togethers with each of you, our family and friends.  I think it’s the moments where we take a little time and say hello that means the most.  Although it doesn’t happen as often as I might like, I must say the moments are treasured in my heart!  I love the connection, and I hope to stay connected with you! Please, don’t ever hesitate to call or text, and hopefully soon we can all gather together in big and small groups!!!  Wishing you and yours, all the Best!

Merry Christmas! and Happy New Year!!!

Love,

Rudy, Cherie, Daisy, and Dean
