When in reality it is Texas ginormous in the deep south covering an expansive area and full of beauty and pure golden magic. I cannot even begin to explain what a wonderful and relaxing and fun-filled trip this was with some very dear friends: Mary Pat, Aubra, Gay, Russ, and Elbert. I will treasure this trip forever!

We are glad Daisy came home to hang out with us old parents for her last spring break at OBU. In addition to just hanging around town, we ran over to The Shreve to take her for her first trip to a casino.

We had the Best visit with Dean and Dakota. They popped by for a couple of days and we just loved having them!!! We are so happy they are doing so good and have moved closer to Dallas, so we get to see them more often.

We had a great camping trip with peeps we have been friends with over 20 years. And goodness that wine “tasting”!!!!

Daisy and her roomie from OBU Dena came to visit. We had a great time with this little visit, going out for dinner and visiting the arts center. This was Daisy’s senior year at OBU. She met some great people at OBU. We are thankful for this college and the friends and good memories she made.

From working with my friends at Murphy Pitard Jewelers – To – Chilling at home – To – Cat baths, February was a pretty good month even in the down times. Also, this image of a snail doing Parkour that I got off the internets, just still amuses me!

Rudy had work in Houston, Texas. So, I went along and got to catch up with some of our friends. We dined at Six Vines with our friends Steve and Beth Lehew. It’s a great place if you like wine flights. We stayed down in Hughes Landing area, which has beautiful views and scenery. I swung by for coffee with my ole buddies Jim and Shirley. Made it just in time for my imposition of ashes for Ash Wednesday at the noon service at The Woodlands Methodist Church.

I hung out a couple of times with my friend Shannon. We always try to squeeze in as much time together as possible. We chat each week when we are apart. So it’s always so good to catch up face to face. While in The Woodlands, they were having some Monster Truck group meet up, so we saw all sorts of fancy trucks. And we got to go out to dinner with our ole neighborhood crew, Donna, Steve, Amy, Kim and Chuck (image below). We always have the best time with them. On the way home Rudy and I stopped at this statue that is called Footprints, after the famous Footprints poem about Jesus carrying you through the hard times.
